Community Farms

In the late 1900’s about seven community farms were formed in Massachusetts. Recent years have seen significant growth and you can now find 27 farms listed below.

Each farm has its own story of community support, land acquisition, finances, management, and food distribution. Read about each farm and learn!

NOTE: Throughout the state hundreds of community gardens exist that are smaller than farms (usually) with individual plots for residents. This page is for farms only.
